Production zone: Piedmont Region, Province of Asti and Cuneo
Climate: Mediterranean, characterized by harsh winters with temperatures reaching -15°C, and hot and humid summers with temperatures reaching 35° C
Soil: limy, clayey, sandy and calcareous
Altitude: 180 – 340 meters above sea level
Training system: traditional Piedmontese guyot with a vine density ranging from 4,000 to 4,500 vine stocks per hectare
Production yield per hectare: 95 quintals
Average age of the vines: 25-30 years
Wine making: in steel tanks with controlled temperature ranging from 28°C to 30°C
Maturation: in steel tanks for at least 4 months and then in bottle for at least 3 months
Colour: ruby red more or less intense
Aroma: quite intense and complex nose, with vinous and fruity notes reminiscent of grapes, plums and cherry
Palate: dry, quite intense and soft, with an intense freshness, lively and tasty tannins. Good attack and balance with hardness prevailing due to its vivacious and lively tannins. Long and pleasant finish.
Total acidity: < 5.5 gr./l
Dry extract: 27 gr./l
Serving temperature: ranging widely from 6° C – 8°C to 18°C – 20°C
